Ms. Anjali Bansal was a global Partner and MD with TPG Growth. Prior to TPG, Ms. Bansal founded and built Spencer Stuart's India practice as a global Partner and co-led their Asia Pacific Board & CEO practice. Earlier, she was a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company in New York and Mumbai. Ms. Bansal serves as an independent director on the public boards of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Pharmaceuticals India, Bata India Limited, Tata Power and Voltas--a Tata Enterprise. She is on the Advisory Board of the Columbia University Global Centers, South Asia. Previously, she also chaired the board of FWWB (Friends of Women's World Banking). Ms. Bansal is also a charter member of TiE. She also co-founded and chaired the FICCI Center for Corporate Governance program for Women on Corporate Boards and serves on the managing committee of the Bombay Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Ms. Bansal has been listed as one of the ‘Most Powerful Women in Indian Business’ by Business Today, and as one of the ‘Most Powerful Women in Business’ by Fortune India. Ms. Anjali Bansal holds a bachelors in Computer Engineering and a Masters in International Affairs, Finance and Business from Columbia University.
