Mr Prasad Gadkari has 18 years of experience across private equity, principal investments, mezzanine capital, project finance and corporate advisory. He currently serves on the boards of education & healthcare enterprise Manipal, healthcare benefits administrator Medi Assist, infrastructure services company GVR, student living provider MIS, container logistics major Seaways and water solutions provider Doshion. He has delivered seven profitable exits at IDFC utilizing varied strategies across IPO, secondary, buy-back and swaps.
Prior to IDFC Alternatives, Mr Gadkari was with GE, responsible for company’s strategic and financial investments in India, Middle East and North Africa in infrastructure related industries.
Before GE, he worked with IDFC Ltd, where he led financing and fund raising for project finance deals. Mr Gadkari also acted as an advisor to Government departments such as NHAI, Port Trusts and Railways on devising appropriate privatization policies and handled several sell-side mandates for the Government.
He started his career at Larsen and Toubro with their project advisory group. Mr Gadkari holds an MBA from NMIMS, Mumbai, and is a CFA Charter holder.
