Gautam Morey is the founder and CEO of Sofomo Embedded Solutions Pvt Ltd - a digital health Company that focuses on providing ubiased healthcare access to all Indians. He envisioned the "Lifeplot Connected Care Framework" that successfully realizes the unique idea of connecting medical devices to doctors and other care-givers with "unparalleled medical mobility". It is his firm belief that instead of waiting for healthcare infrastructure to catch up, India needs to firmly adopt disruptive use of ICT for healthcare delivery.
At Sofomo, Gautam pursues "continuous innovation" in order to demonstrate sustainable real-world applications in low-resource settings. He envisaged, designed and co-implemented the most recent of Sofomo's health outreach offering called Arogya Sakhi - a program for Doorstep Community Health Services through the Mobile Health Worker. Swayam Shikshan Prayog (SSP), a widely acclaimed NGO running various programs sponsored by USAID, World Bank, DFID, etc partnered to structure the program and adopt it into its agenda for health. Arogya Sakhi received early recognition for its huge potential for social impact in November 2014, when it was awarded the 2014 Mobile For Good Award by the Vodafone Foundation, India.
Sofomo's flagship product - Lifeplot UNIQ, is the world's lightest, handheld and connected fully diagnostic ECG device. It enables rural-urban healthcare connectivity by instantaneously transferring ECG from a remote location to Specialist for diagnosis. UNIQ is a wholly "Made-in-India" product!
Sofomo is also responsible for creating the technology backbone for Hewlett Packard's (HP India) CSR program called eHealth Centre. Through a mix of cloud computing, integrated equipment and tele-consultation, we receive and handle roughly 400 patients per day through the 10 eHCs' operational in deep rural parts of the country.
